Yalumba is Australia's oldest family-owned winery, founded in the Barossa Valley back in 1849, and this Grenache comes from old, unstaked bush vines grown the traditional Barossa way. The 2020 is 100% Grenache, crushed in separate parcels and fermented with some whole clusters left in for extra texture. Plum and dark cherry lead the nose, and the palate turns fleshy and juicy, closing on velvety tannins. James Suckling scored it 93 points. Pour it with anything off the grill this summer.
