Black Stallion's Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon is the top tier from this Oak Knoll District winery, built inside a former equestrian arena on the Silverado Trail (hence the name). The 2020 vintage is big and ageworthy, sourced for depth and structure rather than easy drinking. Wine Enthusiast gave it 95 points. This is a cellar candidate as much as a dinner-table bottle. Buy a couple and forget about one for a decade.

Blackberry, cinnamon and cassis aromas with dark jam and savory character underneath. Firm, fine-grained tannins, black-fruit and black-olive depth, balanced acid, and a long finish. Best from 2027 to 2037.
