Dolin - Vermouth de Chambery - Rouge - NV

Dolin is the benchmark red vermouth from Chambéry, in the French Alps' Savoie region, where Alpine botanicals give it a lighter, drier style than its Italian rivals. This Rouge, bottled at 16% ABV, is built on quinine bitterness, prune and dried fruit, and baking spice rather than heavy sugar. Pour it into a Manhattan or Negroni for something less syrupy, or drink it neat over ice as a low-proof aperitif.

Fruit compote, prune, walnut and a grassy edge up front, with cinnamon, vanilla and Szechuan pepper spice. Bittersweet sarsaparilla, citrus zest and quinine carry through to a dry, tobacco-and-citrus finish.

Essential for a proper Manhattan or Negroni; also good solo over ice with a lemon twist as a low-proof aperitif.
