Gonzalez Byass - Cristina - Medium Sherry - NV - 375ml

Gonzalez Byass has been making Sherry in Jerez since 1835, when Manuel María González started the business that grew into the largest Sherry house in the region, still family-owned today. Cristina is their medium Sherry, a blend of 87% Palomino and 13% Pedro Ximenez, splitting the difference between bone-dry Fino and full sweet PX. It's an easy way into Sherry for someone who thinks they don't like it. Serve it slightly chilled with cheese or pâté, or just sip it on its own.

Bright amber color. Raisin, fig and maple syrup on the nose with caramel and walnut. Slightly sweet on the palate with mixed nuts, toffee and a touch of oak, full and creamy texture, long warming finish.

Serve slightly chilled with cheese or pâté.

Gonzalez Byass was founded in Jerez in 1835 by Manuel María González, later joined by British partner Robert Blake Byass. It remains family-owned and is now the largest Sherry producer in the region, with cellars in Jerez, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa María.
