Marcien is Robert Sinskey's Bordeaux-blend flagship, made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the estate's biodynamic Carneros vineyards, organic since 1991, fully Demeter-certified biodynamic since 2008. The 2015 is proof that these grapes thrive in cool Carneros dirt, not just up-valley. It's a savory, structured red for someone who wants Napa complexity without the jammy fruit-bomb style, and it has the tannin to keep improving for years.
Red and black berry, currant and fresh plum, with bay leaf, Kalamata olive, lavender, star anise, mocha and leather. Tightly woven, supple tannins and a persistent, savory finish.

Robert Sinskey planted the Three Amigos Vineyard in Carneros in 1982 and bought the Stags Leap District winery in 1985. The estate has farmed organically since 1991 and biodynamically across all its Carneros holdings since 2008, now Demeter-certified across five vineyard sites in Napa and Sonoma Carneros.
